Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our projects, ensuring the timely and precise installation and finishing of drywall in both residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure, cut, and install drywall panels on walls and ceilings.
- Secure drywall sheets to wooden or metal framing using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
- Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean job site.
- Repair existing drywall and contribute to remodeling and renovation work.
- Install suspended ceiling grids and acoustic/coffered ceiling tiles as needed.
- Assist with metal stud framing and layout as needed to support structural integrity.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a drywall installer and finisher is not required but is considered as an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Additional skills in taping, framing, caulking, and painting are highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Willingness to travel and stay in remote or out-of-town locations as needed.
