Description
Summary We are seeking a multitalented Industrial Mechanic (as well as an Industrial Mechanic's helper) to join the maintenance team at our pre-cast concrete manufacturing plant in Haywood, MB. If you have a knack for troubleshooting and repairing building systems and industrial equipment, we want to hear from you! This full-time position typically operates Monday to Friday, all year round (not seasonal)
Duties
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment. This may involve after hours / weekend call outs.
- Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to work each day
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. (Helper position would be for less experienced candidates)
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.
- Proficiency in welding, machining, and fabrication is an asset.
- Experience with concrete plant equipment (conveyors, overhead cranes, extruders, etc.) is an asset.
