Description
Kay Painting is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Painters (NOC 73112) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, coatings, and finishes to residential and commercial properties. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and works well both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
- Repair cracks and holes in walls and surfaces
- Mix and thin paint to obtain desired color and consistency
- Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper or other wall coverings as required
- Erect scaffolding and swing stages, and attach rigging as needed
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school is an asset
- Previous painting experience is an asset
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of handling the demands of the job
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic communication skills in English
- Willingness and ability to travel to different job sites depending on project location
