Kindret Landscaping Group is a Winnipeg based Landscape Design/Build & Maintenance company. We are an award winning, team-oriented, full-spectrum landscaping operation. Our services include commercial & residential landscape design and construction, year round maintenance, and snow removal in winter months. As a result of continued growth and demand, we are currently seeking the services of an experienced full-time Landscape Estimator to join our team. The position available is full time, year round.
Duties
Duties and responsibilities: · Review, understand and evaluate tender documents and drawings. · Visualize the work entailed, and prepare a detailed plan to execute work in an efficient manner. · Understand the principles involved in bid preparation including quantity take off and closing procedures. · Identify risks associated with contract documents. · Adeptly calculate material, labour and equipment and to analyze quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers. · Multitask, manage and meet priorities and deadlines. · Prepare schedules and track progress. · Establish strong working relationships with client consultants, subcontractors and employees. · Conduct all activities in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees, trades, clients and visitors.
Qualifications
successful candidate should also possess: · Strong understanding in equipment used in landscaping projects (ex. loaders, skid steers, excavators). · Horticultural experience, plant identification & turf knowledge, as well as, landscape hard surface applications will be considered an asset. · Highly effective negotiation, communication and conflict resolution skills. · Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Project) software · A high level of proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening). · Have or working towards a diploma in Landscape Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or an acceptable related experience.
