Stucco Plasterer (NOC Code: 73102)
Duties
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster and stucco to exterior building surfaces.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, or stucco.
- Install corner beads, wire mesh, and insulation boards (EIFS) as per specifications.
- Mix plaster ingredients in troughs to the desired consistency.
- Erect, install, and work safely from heights on scaffolding or ladders.
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces and finish corners and angles.
- Read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine work requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe on-site workspace, following all safety protocols
Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school
- Experience: 3 years of experience in stucco or plastering
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs/23 kg) and work in a physically demanding, repetitive environment.
- Safety: Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations and experience working at heights.
- Suitability: Must be dependable, reliable, and a strong team player.
- Other: Possession of a valid driver's license and own vehicle is often required to travel to various job sites.
