Duties
Job Duties
The Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher will be responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations, including:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize dishwashing areas, kitchen surfaces, storage areas, and workstations.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Receive, organize, and store food supplies and kitchen materials.
- Remove garbage, recycling, and food waste according to restaurant procedures.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of kitchen floors and work areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service hours.
- Perform other related kitchen duties as assigned by the supervisor or restaurant manager.
Qualifications
Completion of high school is required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of previous work experience as a kitchen helper, dishwasher, restaurant kitchen worker, or in a similar food service role is required.
