Duties

  • Repair and restore a wide range of timepieces, including luxury watches, vintage pieces and modern designs.
  • Diagnose issues with watch movements, complications, and mechanisms, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Disassemble clean, lubricate, and reassemble watch components with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, such as gears, springs, and jewels, to restore functionality and accuracy.
  • Refinish watch cases and bracelets, including polishing, buffing, and refinishing to restore luster and appearance.
  • Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines, communicating effectively with customers throughout the repair process.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of experience as a watchmaker with a strong understanding of mechanical watch movements is required
  • Attention to detail and precision, with the ability to work on intricate watch components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and colleagues.
