Your Opportunity We're looking for a motivated Machine Control Installation & Support Technician to join our Winnipeg team. This role is ideal for a heavy-duty mechanic, agricultural mechanic, automotive technician, field service technician, or someone with strong electrical and diagnostic skills who enjoys solving technical problems, working with the latest technology, and helping customers succeed.

Duties

A Typical Week on the job · Installing a new 3D machine control system on an excavator or dozer. · Troubleshooting GNSS, sensor, or electrical issues on customer equipment. · Training operators on system operation and calibration. · Providing remote technical support to customers. · Working with cutting-edge Leica Geosystems technology across Western Canada. Your Key Responsibilities · Install, configure, calibrate, and test Leica machine control systems on heavy equipment. · Perform electrical wiring, sensor installation, hydraulic integration, and system calibration. · Diagnose and repair hardware, software, GNSS, and communication issues in the field. · Provide operator training and customer support after installation. · Respond to service calls to minimize customer downtime. · Maintain detailed installation and service documentation. · Help develop standardized installation procedures and best practices. · Work closely with the sales and support team to deliver exceptional customer experience. · Travel throughout Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Saskatchewan.  

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials · Heavy-duty, agricultural, automotive, truck & transport, or equipment technician background. · Experience with electrical diagnostics, 12V & 24V systems, CAN bus, sensors, or aftermarket equipment installation is a strong asset. · Knowledge of hydraulic systems is an asset. · Comfortable troubleshooting complex technical issues independently. · Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technology. · Excellent communication and customer service skills. · Valid Manitoba driver's licence. · Willingness to travel and occasionally work overtime during the construction season.
