Heart of Travel Inc. is a growing travel agency in West St. Paul, Manitoba. We are hiring a Travel Agent – Sales Associate to help clients plan and book flights, vacation packages, tours, cruises and travel insurance.

• Location: 80 Mazur Bay, West St. Paul, MB R4A 6A4 (on site)
• Employment: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week
• Wage: $23.50 per hour
• Shift: Evening
• Start date: As soon as possible

Duties

• Provide clients with information on destinations, transportation, accommodation options and travel costs
• Sell travel products and travel insurance, and recommend suitable products
• Calculate the cost of travel and accommodations
• Make transportation and accommodation reservations using computerized reservation and ticketing systems
• Process payments for plane tickets, travel insurance and other travel services
• Handle cancellations, schedule changes and reimbursements
• Advise clients on travel regulations, duty-free allowances, health requirements, attractions and special events
• Research new destinations, hotels and amenities
• Handle difficult customer situations professionally
• Perform general office duties

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school diploma
• Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
• Language: English or French
• Knowledge of travel booking software and MS Office
• Experience with domestic and international travel bookings
