You’ll be assisting arborists with day-to-day operations and helping maintain a safe and efficient job site. Our company employs climbing arborists, ground workers, and plant health care technicians. Duties
- Assist arborists with tree removals, pruning, and other arboricultural tasks
- Prepare and clean up job sites before and after work
- Drag and chip brush, operate ground equipment (chipper, chainsaw, etc.)
- Operate larger vehicles, towing trailers and operating stump grinding equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Provide stellar customer service
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of High School. University of Manitoba Arboriculture Course or equivalent education would be an asset. ISA Certification. Manitoba Pesticide Applicator License
- Experience: Any outdoor working experience. Operation of larger vehicles and pulling trailers.
- Work Conditions: Outdoors everyday; handling of heavy loads; repetitive tasks; physically demanding.
- Essential Skills: Attention to detail, self-motivating, problem solving, decision making, continuous learning, working with others, professionalism, courteous to customers and their property. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Air endorsement would be an asset.
