Description
Key Home Solutions is a Winnipeg-based residential renovation and property maintenance company. We are hiring one full-time, permanent Building Maintenance Worker (NOC 73201) to perform general repair, maintenance and minor renovation work on residential properties throughout Winnipeg. The position is based at our Logan Avenue location, with daily travel to client properties within the city. Wage is $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, 35 hours per week, with overtime as required. Duties
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on residential buildings, including drywall, painting, flooring, doors and windows
- Carry out minor plumbing repairs such as faucets, toilets and drains
- Carry out minor electrical repairs such as switches, outlets and light fixtures
- Complete basic carpentry and installation work
- Inspect properties, identify maintenance needs and report deficiencies to the owner
- Respond to homeowner and tenant maintenance requests
- Clear snow, maintain grounds, and keep work areas clean and safe
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools
- Pick up materials and supplies as required
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Completion of secondary school, or equivalent experience
- Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience in building maintenance
- One year to less than two years of experience in general building maintenance or residential renovation
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Physically demanding work: lifting, bending, crouching and standing for extended periods
- Willing to work overtime as required
- Language of work: English
- Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset, as many of our clients are Chinese-speaking homeowners. This is not a requirement of the position.
