Duties
Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing concrete molds and forms by prepping, cleaning, aligning and adding reinforcements
- Mixing concrete to combine the correct proportions of cement, water, sand and aggregate to create specific types of concrete
- Aiding in transporting concrete into the forms (crane assisted, wheelbarrows, chute, pump, etc.)
- Using tools like trowels, screeds and vibrators to level and spread concrete before and during its curing
- Smoothing and/or adding texture to the concrete finishes
- Demolding the cured products, assisting with transporting/storing them, and cleaning the molds for next usage
- Assist with preparing, setting up, dismantling and tidying work areas to ensure work areas are always clean and hazard free
Qualifications
No experience in concrete is required, but being able to work long hours, on your feet, in a dusty and hot environment is key! For transportation, we have carpools running from Winnipeg to our Haywood, MB plant and back.
