Duties
Job Responsibilities: • Interpret welding process specifications. • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal. • Determine weldability of materials. • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line. • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC). • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes,indentations and seams of metal. • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Qualifications
Job Requirements • Languages: English • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate • Experience: 2 years • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, Organized, Flexibility, Team player, Hardworking, physically demanding, Hand-eye co-ordination, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Fast-paced environment, Overtime required. • Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication. • Security and safety: Criminal record check, Drug test.
