Description
African Foodways Market Limited is seeking a dependable and organized Inventory Control Supervisor to support inventory operations within our retail and distribution environment in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring stock levels, coordinating inventory movement, maintaining records, and supporting the smooth flow of goods within the business.
This is a permanent full-time position located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Duties
Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments • Prepare and submit inventory and operational reports • Arrange for maintenance and repair work when required • Resolve work problems and recommend productivity improvements • Co-ordinate, assign and review work activities • Support day-to-day operational logistics and inventory movement • Monitor inventory levels and stock movement • Maintain inventory records and reporting systems • Train staff on inventory handling procedures • Assist in organizing storage and inventory control processes
Qualifications
Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience • 2 years to less than 3 years of related experience • English language ability required • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Good communication and teamwork skills • Experience managing inventory for imported or specialty food products is an asset • Familiarity with supply chain or distribution operations is an asset • Knowledge of storage and handling of perishable goods is an asset
