Description
The Production Worker supports daily manufacturing operations by performing production, packaging, quality, sanitation, and material handling tasks across multiple production lines, including Loaf Line, Cutting, Oven & Consolidation, and Packaging. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
Duties
- Work across multiple production lines as assigned (Loaf Line, Cutting, Oven & Consolidation, Packaging).
- Follow all company SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, food safety, and workplace safety procedures and policies.
- Operate production and packaging equipment safely and according to training.
- Inspects products throughout the process to detect defects and removes defective products from the process.
- Complete all required production, quality, sanitation, and inspection records, as assigned, accurately.
- Identify and report equipment issues, product defects, or safety concerns to the Supervisor.
- Maintain product quality and minimize waste and salvage.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks according to SSOP standards.
- Comply with all food safety, allergen control, sanitation, and quality requirements.
- Conduct inspections, pre-operational checks, and quality checks as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Report food safety, quality, or safety concerns immediately.
- Wear, use, store, and dispose of required PPE properly at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing, production, or industrial environment is an asset.
- Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to required limits, push/pull racks, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English related to safety, production, and quality requirements.
- Ability and willingness to be cross-trained and work across multiple production lines (Loaf Line, Cutting, Oven & Consolidation, Packaging).
