Duties
- Plan, direct and evaluate the operations of the store including the restaurant and the convenience store
- Manage staff and assign schedules and duties
- Study trends and consumer demand to make informed decisions about labor hours, potential sales volume, and inventory.
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and promotions
- Source and negotiate with vendors when necessary to procure merchandise for resale
- Plan budgets, authorize expenditures and monitor sales
- Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer’s requests and inquiries
- May address staffing requirements
- May be responsible for development and retention of staff
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience is an asset
- Completion of secondary school
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Experience with scheduling and workforce planning
- Understanding of inventory management and loss prevention
- Cash handling and basic accounting knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle customer concerns professionally
